Today, the industry’s workforce is becoming increasingly international. At the same time, every contractor and every individual must be able to demonstrate that the necessary documentation – such as A1 certificates, work permits, posting documents and similar – is in order. Many companies handle this manually through paper copies and email, which leads to long processing times, unnecessary administrative work and the risk of penalties when documents are missing.

With SSG’s solution, International Workforce – Requirements and Compliance, you get digital support that allows you to define both company and individual-specific requirements, collect and validate the necessary documentation and gain real-time visibility across the entire supply chain.

Digital individual registry

All A1 certificates, work permits, posting documents and other documents are uploaded and securely stored in a registry. The dashboard instantly shows who is approved or lacks important documents, and you can export a full report for audit or regulatory control.

Automatic reminders

The system creates dynamic “to-do lists” based on each contractor’s document status and sends automatic reminders when certificates are approaching expiration or missing. The result is fewer manual tasks and a clear division of responsibilities.

Requirements management throughout the entire chain

You can define all company and individual requirements and apply them automatically to subcontractors. This provides a standardised list of requirements, eliminates duplicate entries and ensures that every party in the chain meets the same standard.

How it works

  • Define requirements: State company and individual requirements that apply to your project.
  • Invite suppliers: They will receive an invitation, review the requirements and upload their documents.
  • Automated validation: The system verifies that A1 certificates, work permits, posting documents and other documents are valid.
  • Access: Approved persons are granted access, while those who are rejected receive an automatic notification.
  • Real-time monitoring: A dashboard shows the current status and reminders are sent before certificates expire.
"The number of posted workers in Sweden rose significantly in 2025. In total, the number reached nearly 75,000 workers. The largest increase was seen in the construction sector and the manufacturing industry."

Increased compliance requirements

As regulations become stricter and the number of posted workers increases, comprehensive digital verification of certificates and documents is becoming increasingly important. Despite the desire to do the right thing, the traditional paper management process often becomes an obstacle. That is why SSG is partnering with the industry to invest in new features designed to address these needs for automated background verification, improved visibility and adaptations to future EU directives – so our clients always have the tools they need to meet both today’s and tomorrow’s regulatory challenges.
