Digitization is advancing with great strides in the industry and how far one has come varies greatly between different industries. The competition outside Sweden's borders is fierce, and to not fall behind, the Swedish industry needs to increase their pace. Digitizing and automating the industry is a priority area for the government, which runs a special program for smart industry.
Industrial IT, automation and digitization are important areas for SSG. Therefore, we have a network, with the ambition to gather expertise in the field – for an exchange of experience and development of best practice. The network in industrial IT and automation intends to replace SSG's Instrument Engineering Committee, which has been dormant for a couple of years. The network will work to modernize existing standards in the field. They will evaluate if they have any educational needs, that they find necessary for the industry to obtain – to contribute toward Swedish industries starting a digital transformation.
Do you work in industrial digitization or automation? Are you interested in exchanging experiences and driving development in the industry forward? Then we want you to be part of the network! As a participant, you get the opportunity to meet colleagues in the industry for discussion and networking, and also the opportunity to influence the content and design of SSG's offerings in the area. The network aims to meet twice a year, with ongoing information in between.
