SSG Iceland Safety course

An interactive and certified safety course on health, safety, general responsibilities, high-risk work, our environment and dealing with emergencies. The course is suitable for everyone who works in industry in Iceland – even those who normally work in environments not covered by these courses.

The SSG Iceland Safety Course is a basic safety course with a focus on health, safety and the environment (HSE). The online course is aimed at coworkers, contractors and managers in Iceland. The purpose of the course is to provide a broad understanding of key HSE topics regardless of role in the organisation. This course gives participants a common foundation and increased awareness of how to create a safe and secure work environment.

The course covers important areas such as understanding health and safety issues, workplace risks, how to work preventively and how to act in the event of a near-accident. By signing up for the course, a company is also provided with administrative assistance in keeping track of who has completed the course. A database of course participants who have been assigned, started and completed the course is available to the administrators at each company.
