Maintenance shutdown checklist
Time for a maintenance shutdown? Here are a few things to keep in mind to ensure that your work runs smoothly when using SSG’s services.
- Review access logistics to prevent queues, for example, organise how contractors should enter a site and through which gates.
- Check entry requirements in the Access system to ensure that the system is correctly set up with settings for any integrations. This ensures that those entering the site have the right knowledge, and that suppliers and contractors can see the applicable requirements.
- Ensure that card readers and computers are available to simplify access, reducing the risk of queues.
- If the Access card is used for entry, you can check that integration with local systems is working.
- For sites that assess and monitor suppliers through the SSG Supplier service: Check that contracted suppliers meet the requirements and are approved as suppliers.
- To avoid problems at the entrance, remind contractors to complete the SSG courses required for access before they come to the site.
- Do you offer the possibility to supplement SSG courses before access for those who do not meet the requirements? If so, make sure there is a designated place with a computer for this.
- Update information in SSG On site so that it is current and correct. In this way, everyone on site has access to the right information. Encourage both staff and visitors to download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Ensure that you have procedures in place for managing vehicle permits and parking spaces.
- Review and order communication materials such as rollups and information sheets. As an administrator in the SSG On site service, you can easily log in and find any material you need.
