Viktor tests the quality behind SSG’s solutions

Viktor Holappa works as a tester and quality manager at SSG, where he is responsible for ensuring that the company’s digital solutions are of high quality before they reach clients. With a great interest in IT and technology, he has built his career in system development, testing and quality assurance. 

After studying system science in Umeå, Viktor started working as a developer. When he was later given the opportunity to take over the role of test manager, he discovered an area that suited him well, and since 2019 he has been working with testing and quality assurance. 

As a tester, Viktor works closely with the development teams to plan, complete and follow up tests. The role is about identifying areas for improvement, preventing problems and ensuring that users get stable and well-functioning solutions. 

Proud of large deliveries 

One of the events Viktor is particularly proud of since he joined SSG is the launch of International Labour. The project was completed at a fast pace and required close collaboration between several teams. 

– It was a big project with many people involved. Being able to contribute to quality assurance and see the results of everyone’s work was very rewarding. 

Impressed by the community 

Before joining SSG, Viktor worked as a consultant and had heard a lot of positive things about the company. What surprised him the most when he started was the strong community and the high level of competence. 

– Everyone was very welcoming from day one and there is a huge amount of knowledge within the company. It is an environment where you develop together with your colleagues. 

He describes the culture as inclusive and collaborative, where it is easy to get support and share experiences with others. 

Have grown in their role 

Since he started at SSG, Viktor feels that he has become more confident in both his skills and his responsibility. The opportunity to influence, take initiative and drive development forward is something he particularly estimates. 

To succeed in the role, he emphasises the importance of curiosity, communication and collaboration skills. Being able to see different perspectives and find solutions together is an important part of the daily work. For anyone considering searching for SSG.
