SSG - a uniting force in an uncertain world
8 December 2025
Recently, many conductors across the Nordics and Europe have emphasised the same thing: we need to work together to quickly build our resilience and be able to handle the uncertain and rapidly changing world in which companies operate.
In such a reality, experience and facts alone are not enough. Acting wisely and effectively requires new ways of thinking - and a variety of perspectives. This requires cognitive diversity, which is not primarily about background or gender, but about how people interpret information, solve problems and understand complex relationships.
SSG is a natural meeting place where different ways of thinking and working come together. Through our committees, standards and digital services, we bring together technical experts, decision makers and safety specialists from across the industry. Together, we can shed light on complex issues from multiple angles - and find solutions that are both smarter and more sustainable.
Since the 1950s, SSG has been proud and precise:
- A unified company with common challenges
- Developed standards and services that increase efficiency and security in critical supply chains
- Trained staff in safety culture, risk awareness and continuity
- Created collaboration between industry, technology and public safety
SSG is a clear example of what the Swedish Government describes in the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions’ Defence Industry Strategy for a Stronger Sweden (Skr. 2024/25:193) - a bridge between industrial competence, standardisation and defence preparedness.
We anchor safety, competence and standards throughout the industry’s value chain - so that we can stand strong together.
In an uncertain and changing world, cognitive diversity becomes critical to:
- Identify risks and opportunities in time
- Make wise decisions even in uncertainty
- Turning learning into action - faster than the outside world
SSG acts as a neutral arena where industry and authorities meet to build common understanding, develop common standards and shape a common direction.
