Per drives SSG’s technical development forward

Per Westfal works as an architect at SSG and shapes the technical solutions that must support the future development of the company. What attracted him to SSG was the opportunity to work closer to products and modern technology, but it was the culture that made the biggest impression when he started.

– What surprised me the most was how helpful everyone was. There is a lack of prestige here that makes people happy to support each other," says Per. 

In his role he has one leg as an architect in product development and one in strategic architecture work. He supports the development work of the product teams while working with other architects to shape the technical direction for the entire company.

– My job is about finding sustainable solutions, both for the individual product teams and for SSG as a whole," says Per.

Drives the platform journey 

A large share of Per’s work revolves around SSG’s ongoing platform relocation. Together with other architects, developers, UX creators and product owners, he works cross-functionally to develop a modern platform that creates good conditions for the products’ continued development.

– The best thing is when together, with different competences and perspectives, we can turn ideas into solutions that create great value for both SSG and our clients," says Per.

Emphasises culture 

Per describes SSG as a workplace where people are encouraged to test new ideas, make mistakes and learn along the way. He highly estimates the open culture and high competence of his colleagues.
When he’s not working, he likes to spend his time on the ski slopes, on a run or on the golf course. Sports and outdoor activities are major interests that he spends a lot of time on.
