Our Networks

The CLP Network was launched in March 2019 to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience on how to comply with current legislation and work safely and sustainably with substances and mixtures that are hazardous to health or the environment, or pose physical hazards.

The CLP Network discusses issues such as:

• Classification of chemical products according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations
• Labelling of chemical products in accordance with the CLP Regulation.

As a participant, you will have the opportunity to meet colleagues in the industry for discussion and networking, and you will also be able to influence the content and design of SSG’s offerings in this area, such as the SSG 7650 standard – Piping systems – recommendations for the selection of materials and components, as well as classification and control.  

The network’s participants include both members of the Piping System Committee and other individuals interested in these issues, such as those working with occupational health and safety, labelling and legislation.

The network holds an online meeting twice a year and participation is free of charge. As a participant in the network, you are expected to follow SSG’s Competition Guidelines to ensure competitive neutrality.

SSG facilitates a number of local electricity networks in Sweden where participants have the opportunity to share experiences, discuss common issues, act as a referral body and influence standardisation in this field.

The networks meet two or three times a year and SSG is responsible for the administration of the meetings. However, it is the participants themselves who are in charge of the running of the network and decide which companies can participate.

Examples of points discussed at the meetings are:

• Safety - incidents, equipment and clothing
• Technology - problems, news and spare parts
• Regulations, organisation, responsibilities and news related to these topics
• Recruitment, skills and training.

Currently, electrical networks are available in the following locations:

• Dalarna
• Gävleborg
• Middle
• North
• West
• South East
• East

An annual participation fee of SEK 4,000 is charged to cover administrative costs. Two representatives from the company may participate. Participants must also sign and follow SSG’s Competition Guidelines to ensure competition neutrality.

SSG’s Fluid Technology Network for the process industry focuses on plant-related fluid systems, with hydraulics, pneumatics and lubrication systems as its main areas of interest. The purpose of the network is to bring together people with expertise in fluid technology so that they can exchange information and experiences.

The network organises lectures, contributes to standardisation work in the field of fluid technology and organises an annual get-together every autumn, SSG Fluid Systems Day. The network holds its annual meeting in connection with SSG Fluid Systems Day and also aims to meet once during the spring. In addition, members hold more informal meetings online that take place monthly.

Who is the network for?

The network is primarily intended for those who work with fluid technology issues in a client organisation within the field of forestry, steel, mining or energy.

The network is led by a steering group consisting of a representative from SSG and the network’s chairman and vice chairman. The network is managed in accordance with SSG’s guidelines for competition neutrality. In order not to give competitive advantages to the client’s counterparties, applications from suppliers are reviewed separately and assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Membership of the network is free of charge.

Within SSG’s Sawmill Network, knowledge and experience in occupational health and safety issues are shared in order to improve the work environment and safety at sawmills.

In 2019, SSG started a network for the sawmill industry. This was because the sawmill industry had seen high accident rates for many years and it ranked highest in the statistics for occupational accidents resulting in absence from work. The network was therefore established to share knowledge and experience in the field of occupational health and safety, develop a culture of safety, and work proactively to reduce the number of accidents and illnesses in the industry. Employers seek to reduce accident statistics, improve the work environment and become attractive employers.

The goal of the network is to create accident-free and healthy workplaces and encourage collaboration on health and safety issues.
