This standard provides recommendations concerning sliding shoes for insulated pipelines, used for sliding supports, guides and anchorages made in accordance with SSG 7005E – types 11B, 12B, 13B, 14B, 15B and 36B.
In uninsulated or protective insulated pipelines, sliding shoes are used in accordance with SSG 7149E. When choosing a sliding shoe, also refer to SSG 7005E section 2.3.
