This guide provides recommendations for coating metal with a composite material as protection against wear, erosion, corrosion, cavitation, chemical attack and unwanted deposits (sludge).

The document is used as the basis for planning and preplanning in order to clarify at an early stage whether the composite material is a better alternative to exclusive steel grades, rubber coatings, fibreglass linings and epoxy coatings from sustainability and economic perspectives.

The aim is to achieve cost savings through increased reliability and increased equipment service life in cases where composite material is the more economical alternative.
