The standard provides recommendations concerning paint systems for initial painting and maintenance painting on metallic materials,
carbon steel and hot-dip galvanized steel in various environments. It also provides instructions on how to specify the designation that is to be included in order documentation.
The aim of the standard is to make it easier to choose the correct surface treatment for purchasers of painting work in the forestry industry or in any other industry with similar environments.
