Operations at Göteborg Energi include production, distribution and sales of electricity, district heating, gas and cooling, as well as energy services and broadband fibre.
The group, which employs around 1000 staff in total, comprises the parent company Göteborg Energi AB, which is wholly owned by the City of Gothenburg, and around 10 wholly or partly owned subsidiaries.
The vision of a sustainable Gothenburg community permeates everything we do – from making it easy for everyone to be climate-smart, to making the energy we produce as clean and as renewable as possible. As a result of our efforts, development can progress and life can go on – but what we do does not take its toll on the future.
Our Production business area is responsible for administration, operation and maintenance of all of the company’s production plants and pump stations. Our plants include wind farms, heat and power plants powered by biofuel, gas and oil, wastewater heat pumps, smaller district heating plants, compressor and absorption chillers, a biogas upgrade system, solar cells and pump stations for district heating and district cooling.
We hold accreditation to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
