SSG is searching for participants to the working group on operator operational safety
13 January 2026
Operator operational safety is the next step in the development of operator supervision and maintenance, a modern way of working where operators with the right competence and prerequisites actively contribute to the operational safety of the site.
SSG now wants to lift the area and develop a clearer organisational approach to operator operational safety. As part of this, the SSG 2002 guide must be revised and we are therefore searching for participants to a working group.
The guide must provide support on issues such as:
- Why is operational safety a natural part of the operator’s working day?
- What does operational safety mean in practice?
- What are the business benefits of operator maintenance?
- Should operators work harder - or just smarter?
- Do we have the right division of responsibilities between operation and maintenance?
- How can operators and maintenance staff strengthen each other?
- How do we reduce downtime and increase equipment lifetime?
Have you thought about any of these questions yourself? Then you are the one we are searching for.
The work with the revision takes place digitally, approximately 2 hours per month. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to influence the standard of the future, share experiences and contribute knowledge that is a value creator for the entire industry.
Would you like to take part or find out more?
