An arc flash can cause serious damage to both people and property. Knowledge of how an arc flash occurs and its consequences can reduce risks and thus create a safer work environment. SSG therefore offers an arc flash hazards course, which provides basic knowledge of and insight into the consequences of an arc flash.

Implementation
The online course features factual sections interspersed with slideshows, animations, videos and educational exercises to increase participant engagement. The course concludes with a final test to ensure that the participant has acquired the necessary knowledge. A pass in this course is valid for three years. Course participants can repeat the course on an ongoing basis. This is free of charge.
Target group
The course is primarily aimed at professionals who work in environments with electrical hazards, for example, professionals who are required to complete electrical safety training with SSG 4500, supervisors, electrical engineers/technicians, planners, project engineers, occupational health and safety engineers and safety representatives.
