Standard Solutions Group

Who we are

Our objective is that our standardised services shall be the obvious choice for the industrial sector. SSG has been a partner to industry since the 1970s.

We work to create common, standardised solutions for the shared challenges faced by industry. To succeed with this, we need our customers’ trust – trust we have maintained for more than five decades. We believe in acting respectfully and assuming responsibility, with the ambition of being the trusted third party of industry. Our customers can rely on whatever they entrust to us being in safe hands. We want to be the natural business partner of industry, with a focus on our customers, quality, commercial acumen and sustainability.

Our vision

SSG’s vision is “Safety and skills for everyone, every day”.

Our core values

Our core values inspire and challenge our employees in our efforts to create a successful and sustainable company – financially, socially and environmentally.

We explore

In our curiosity lies a spark. A desire to explore and be a part of what is happening here and now but with an eye towards the future to see what awaits around the next corner. This energy is one of our greatest strengths and creates value, both for us as individuals and for those we meet in our work.

We go beyond

With commitment, pride and passion, we push boundaries. We challenge traditional solutions to embrace future opportunities where creativity and collaboration makes us an innovative force to be reckoned with.

We care

We put our hearts into everything we do and take responsibility for our actions. In our environment, everyone is treated with respect, and we see strength in each other’s differences. With us, everyone should feel included and seen, as it is through this trust we grow together.

About SSG’s Code of Conduct

The basis of SSG’s Code of Conduct is the core values that guide us in everything we do. Important areas for us are human rights, sustainability issues and anti-corruption. Our Code of Conduct applies to all employees within SSG, from the Board of Directors and management to individual employees. We also expect the Code of Conduct to be respected and observed by our commercial partners such as customers, partners and suppliers.

SSG’s business ethics and principles

At SSG, we comply with applicable laws and regulations in the markets in which SSG operates. SSG requires all our business partners to behave correspondingly. We do not accept corruption and we act responsibly and ethically in our business relations. We do not tolerate any form of corruption, bribery or extortion.

This means, among other things, that:

SSG’s employees act and make decisions without any consideration of personal gain for ourselves or those close to us. Nor does SSG use relationships with business partners for its own gain.

SSG avoids situations that can create or give the impression of creating conflicts of interest. If a conflict of interest cannot be avoided, this must be reported openly to the line manager. If an employee conducts commercial activity outside SSG (so-called secondary occupation), this must be approved by SSG (this is described in and regulated by SSG’s Secondary Occupation Policy).

SSG does not accept any form of illegal anti-competitive measures, such as price collaboration, cartel formation or abuse of a dominant market position. We act correctly and do not engage in undue influence or manipulation in order to distort competition.

SSG never violates current legislation on the giving or taking of bribes. We neither give nor receive gifts or services with a value that exceeds SSG’s established levels, and do not participate in entertainment outside of normal business activities. At SSG, we adapt to business partners’ rules on gifts, entertainment, etc., if these are stricter than SSG’s.

SSG complies with competition law, in which SSG conducts its business in accordance with current competition legislation in the markets in which we operate. We strive to achieve fair competition in tendering, quoting, procurement and purchasing.

Human rights

For SSG, the equal value of all people is self-evident. We strive to increase our diversity and equal treatment in all parts of our business. Everyone shall have the same rights and opportunities regardless of origin, gender, transgender identity or expression, ethnic origin, religion or other belief, disability, sexual orientation or age. SSG has zero tolerance of all forms of victimisation, bullying and discrimination. We have a responsibility to prevent, suppress and act. All employees and business partners who see or suspect violations are obliged to report this.

Child labour

SSG complies with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and does not accept child labour in any form. Any form of violence, coercion or exploitation of children is unacceptable. A child is a person under the age of 18. Employees under the age of 18 must be protected in particular from hazardous work that involves a risk to health and safety, such as night work. We do not accept forced and bonded labour, but work must take place on a voluntary basis.

Freedom of association

SSG does not accept restrictions to the right of employees to freedom of association or collective bargaining. Employees must be able to exercise these rights, without being impeded or risking reprisal, and this also applies in countries where the right to organise is limited or prohibited.

Fair working conditions

SSG does not accept terms of employment that fall below national and local levels. Collective agreements signed must be respected and observed. Working hours and minimum wages must comply with current laws and regulations.

Compliance

SSG requires compliance with the Code of Conduct, and the principles of the Code of Conduct are monitored on an ongoing basis as a natural element of the business. Company management and managers at all levels have a particularly great responsibility in this respect to lead by example. An employee who feels uncertain about the application in their daily work can be given guidance by their manager. Employees within SSG must raise the alarm if they suspect anything that is in violation of our Code of Conduct or legislation. In the first instance, employees of SSG and business partners should report suspected violations to their line manager.

If an SSG employee does not act in accordance with the Code of Conduct, this will result in corrective action. If a business partner repeatedly or seriously violates the Code of Conduct, the business partnership will be terminated.

Adoption

This Code of Conduct was adopted by SSG’s CEO and Board of Directors. Sundsvall, 27 March 2025.
