Setting new standards
A cookie is a text file, which is saved on the visitor's computer when visiting a website.
Cookies help us to give you as a visitor a good experience when you visit us, by e.g. saving the settings you have chosen, so that you do not have to change your choices at each visit.
They also play an important role in improving our services and your use of them.
Through cookies that help us with statistics, we can see patterns and based on them improve our websites so they are as simple and easy to navigate as possible. Our goal is to meet your needs as a user.
Necessary cookies are needed to be able to use SSG's services via the web and they are automatically saved in your browser when you access SSG's websites. An example is being able to log in to our services. If you do not want to allow cookies to be stored on your computer, you can turn them off in your browser settings. Then no cookies will be saved, but some functions on the website will not work as intended either.
Other cookies require the approval of you as a visitor so that we can get an idea of how you use the website. Our analytics tool, Matomo, is used to collect user data which is important for us to be able to develop our website and our services. The data collected in Matomo is anonymized so we can not identify patterns for an individual.
SSG's website is also linked to the external sites Linkedin and Facebook through the ability to like and share our articles. We also collect data on how our website is used, which can be used for customer segmentation for marketing and online advertising. The goal is to communicate and advertise products and services for you that are as relevant as possible.
Session cookies
A session cookie is temporarily stored in your computer's memory while you are browsing a web page and disappears when you close the browser. Session cookies are used, for example, when you sign up for subscription services and are removed when you leave the website.
Persistent cookie
A persistent cookie is used to save personal settings such as fonts, text color, line spacing, etc. and, remains on your computer until it is manually removed.
If you do not accept the use of cookies, settings can be made via the browser's security settings. When the use of cookies is denied, you will not be able to keep your login on the website and will have to log in again at each visit to access services and courses. If you do not allow the use of cookies, this also means that you can not use SSG's web services with full functionality.
